High Energy Bills Got You Down?
If you’re dealing with high energy bills and aren’t sure why, chances are your home is losing heat where it shouldn’t be — often through the attic, walls, or poorly insulated areas. At Advanced Insulation Systems, we’ll assess your home and identify the weak spots.
Attic top-ups are one of the most common and cost-effective fixes — especially in older homes that don’t meet today’s insulation standards.
Spray foam insulation is ideal for sealing up gaps and hard-to-reach areas, creating an airtight barrier that prevents heat loss and improves efficiency.
We’ll walk you through your options and recommend the best solution based on your home, your budget, and your goals — no pressure, just honest advice to help you save money and stay comfortable year-round.

The AIS Difference
What makes our approach different? It’s simple — we actually care.
At Advanced Insulation Systems, we don’t rush jobs, upsell unnecessary work, or take shortcuts. We take the time to understand your home, explain your options, and deliver insulation solutions that truly perform. Every install is done with precision, using high-quality materials and the latest techniques to make sure it lasts.
Unlike some contractors who treat insulation as just another task, it’s our specialty — and we stand behind every job with pride. From start to finish, you’ll get honest advice, clean workmanship, and real results you can feel.

Real Results for Homeowners
One of our recent projects was a 1970s bungalow in Carleton Place that had sky-high heating bills and uneven temperatures from room to room. The homeowners weren’t sure where the problem was coming from, so we started with a full insulation assessment.
We discovered their attic insulation was well below current standards, and there were major air leaks around the rim joists and basement walls. We performed a full attic top-up with blown-in insulation and sealed the lower levels using closed-cell spray foam for maximum air-tightness.
Within a few weeks, the homeowners noticed their furnace running less often, rooms were more consistent in temperature, and they told us their next hydro bill dropped significantly.
What made them happiest? That we took the time to educate them, didn’t push unnecessary work, and left the home cleaner than when we arrived. They said it felt like they were living in a new house — and that’s what we aim for every time.
Choosing the Right Insulation
Spray Foam Insulation
Best for: Hard-to-reach areas, rim joists, basements, crawl spaces, and new construction.
Why: Spray foam creates an air-tight seal, adds structural strength, resists moisture, and delivers the highest R-value per inch. We recommend it when energy efficiency, moisture control, or air sealing is a top priority.
Blown-In Fiberglass or Cellulose
Best for: Attic top-ups or retrofitting older homes with inadequate insulation.
Why: It’s cost-effective, quick to install, and great for improving overall thermal performance in open spaces. We recommend it when you need better insulation but don’t need the full sealing benefits of spray foam.
Fiberglass Batts
Best for: New construction or simple wall cavities where spray foam isn’t necessary.
Why: Batts are budget-friendly and effective when installed properly — but they don’t seal air gaps and can underperform if not fitted carefully. We generally recommend batts for straightforward jobs or when staying within a tight budget.
